Best Luxury Hotels In Cortina d’Ampezzo

Embedded in the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage site, this resort hosted the 1956 Winter Olympics, two Alpine Ski World Championships and the 2021 Alpine Ski World Cup. As such it offers some technically challenging pistes, along with beginner runs. But this resort has much more to offer than just snow and slopes. Come the warm weather, climbers and hikers flock to the beautiful peaks. George Clooney and Naomi Campbell have holidayed here and although it attracts many celebs, it’s by no means pretentious. Often referred to as the ‘pearl’ or ‘queen’ of the Dolomites, Cortina d’Ampezzo is a great choice for your upscale Italian skiing or summer break.

Cristallo, Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Cortina d’Ampezzo

A ski resort with an in-house spa, it’s part of Marriott International’s Luxury Collection. There are three restaurants; La Veranda for breakfast and lunch, the fully wood panelled La Stube 1872 which serves mountain favourites and the fine dining room, Il Gazebo, with its stunning 360-degree views across the Dolomites.
