The bank’s aspirations for grandeur led to a collaboration with renowned architects Mewes & Davis and Leslie Graham Thomson to transform the building into a magnificent symbol of prestige between the two world wars. The meticulous interior restoration, including the breathtaking wood panelling crafted from English oak, Mexican pine, and Honduran mahogany, reflects the dedication to preserving its rich legacy. The building’s transformation over the years culminated in its rebirth as The Edinburgh Grand in 2018, a testament to its enduring allure and storied history. The timetabled sessions at CaveFit are thoughtfully crafted to offer modern and effective solutions to help guests achieve their health and fitness goals in a supportive and invigorating environment. Elevating the experience, our Deluxe Open Plan Apartments, nestled on the 6th floor, showcase mesmerising city vistas, ensuring an unforgettable stay.

Our Apartment

During our recent 3-day city break, my family and I enjoyed staying in a luxurious two-bedroom apartment. This exquisite apartment was adorned with full-length windows, high ceilings, and elegant period details, offering a perfect blend of classic charm and modern convenience.

The apartment boasted two king-size bedrooms and a generously sized sofa bed, ensuring ample space for all guests. The heart of the apartment was its open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area, equipped with high-end amenities, including a washer-dryer, fridge-freezer, and dishwasher. A quaint corner table with chic banquette seating and an L-shaped sofa against floor-to-ceiling windows added to the sophisticated ambience.

Both bedrooms had flat-screen TVs, ample wardrobe space, and luxurious king-size beds adorned in bespoke Bute fabrics. 

Each bedroom also featured a stunning en-suite bathroom stocked with indulgent Arran Aromatics products. A standout feature of this opulent apartment was the exquisite freestanding bath in the master bedroom, radiating luxury and elegance.

This exceptional accommodation truly exceeded our expectations, providing a remarkable blend of comfort, style, and luxury for an unforgettable city getaway.

This all-apartment accommodation comes equipped with high-end facilities, including fully equipped kitchens stocked with complimentary luxury toiletries from Aran Aromatics and Nespresso coffee machines. A 24-hour front office and daily housekeeping ensure guests are well cared for in this luxurious accommodation. No request is too big for the amazing guest services team, who are on hand to cater to guests’ every want and desire. 

Steeped in elegance, the Directors’ Suite exudes timeless sophistication with its original fireplaces, rich wood panelling, and contemporary accents, creating a refined and romantic ambience. The grand table at the heart of the suite serves as an impressive focal point for showcasing delectable feasts. In this setting, up to 12 guests can gather for a boardroom meeting or an intimate private dinner, while it can host 30 guests for a standing reception.

Located on the 4th floor, The Register Club is a versatile event space that can be tailored to suit various events. With a capacity of up to 90 guests in a seated theatre-style arrangement or for a standing reception, it offers flexibility and elegance for any occasion.

Indulge in the Grand Afternoon Tea at The Register Club on the fourth floor, where you can savour traditional Scottish delicacies such as Loch Fyne Salmon Sandwiches and Haggis Neeps and Tattie Pies in a grand setting.

Immerse yourself in the local culture by visiting the breathtaking Edinburgh Castle, just a few steps away. Then, take a short 9-minute stroll to the historic Royal Mile to delve into Scotland’s rich history.

Cheval The Edinburgh Grand was the perfect base for our city break. It was conveniently located near major restaurants, shops, and attractions and close to open green spaces, providing a relaxing atmosphere. The apartments beautifully combined a historic building with modern amenities, making them ideal for travellers. We also received warm and charming hospitality, reflecting the Scottish spirit.
